Wes Montgomery
Wes is my favorite guitar player. His tone, tasty solos, chords, and style has influenced several guitar players. I only wish I could have seen & heard him live in his very short musical career. Wes is definitely one of the Jazz Guitar Gods who will always be heard forever. It's incredible how advanced his playing was for someone who couldn't read a note. Musical scholars have studied his playing for years.

Visionmusic This site has some good tips and lessons for guitar. It also has a feature called Jam Central Station which you can jam along with several songs
Just Strings This is a place where you can get any string, brand, or gauge you want. If there's a string you can't find, try this place. If they don't have it, they'll order it for you. This is where I get my low A string for my seven-string guitar.
